Amy is the CEO of Agape Tennis Academy, which currently manages public tennis centers in Fountain Valley, California, Oxnard, California, and Atlanta, Georgia. The organization provides programming to over 15,000 tennis and pickleball players annually. She currently manages a staff of over 90 tennis and pickleball coaches, administrative professionals, and business managers. Agape’s management style, processes, and systemized to approach allows the organization to continue to scale.
Amy is certified by the USTA in Sports Science and High-Performance Player Development. She is certified in Tennis by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), Pickleball by the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR), and platform tennis by the Professional Platform Tennis Registry (PPTR).
Amy is a coach, author, change expert and serial entrepreneur. Her personal and professional transformation systems show us how to infuse entrepreneurship with purpose, passion, and perseverance to create businesses that are bigger than the bottom line and positively impact communities.
Most recently in California, Agape and Amy were recognized by the United States Congress, the California Legislature Assembly, and the County of Orange as one of Fountain Valley’s finest leaders, in recognition of her small business’ contributions to the U.S. economy. Most recently in Georgia in 2020 and 2021, Agape Tennis Academy received the Best of Decatur Award. This award is given to local companies in different categories that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
In 2019, Amy was honored as the PTR Georgia Member of the Year and Tennis Media Group named Agape Tennis Academy Organization of the Year. Agape Tennis Academy was selected as the GPTA’s (Georgia Professional Tennis Association) Program of the Year in 2018. In 2017, Amy was voted Tennis Director of the Year and Agape Tennis Academy was named 10 and Under Program of the Year by the GPTA. In 2016, Agape Tennis Academy was voted Community Outreach Program of the Year by the GPTA.
Amy currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and in San Clemente, California with her two cats Zuki and Paix. She enjoys traveling, reading, business, living life to the fullest, all things outdoors, tennis, pickleball, golf, hiking, biking, surfing, and being in the ocean.

Coach Maria started playing tennis at 8 years old. She was the State and Regional champion during her junior career. She played national tournaments and was one of the top ranked players in Mexico. She also played ITF and WTA tournaments before entering college. She earned a Division I scholarship to play for Coastal Carolina University where she earned numerous honors for tennis and academics.
She was named an ITA scholar athlete and played in the 2007 NCAA Championships.
Maria majored in Marketing and Management. After college she went back to Mexico and worked in logistics in the automotive industry. She loves sports in general but loves tennis, running, CrossFit and yoga. Tennis has always been a part of her life, be it playing, coaching and having fun on the court!

BRUCE CUDDY, PPR
Bruce Cuddy is a Pickleball Professional, certified by the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). He has been playing pickleball for nine years and teaching for six.
Bruce grew up in California with a strong athletic background. He played baseball in college and was a Class A PGA golf professional. He has also been a huge participant with leading charitable organizations.
Bruce is now devoted to promoting, enhancing and leading the drive to make pickleball an important part of everyone’s life who want to learn and grow in the game. He strives to make the sport fun for all while at the same time giving all players an opportunity to improve their game.
Bruce is excited to be part of the Agape Tennis and Pickleball Academy and looks forward to working with all who love the sport as much as he does.

MIKE ASHLEY, PPR
Coach Mike, a Certified Professional through the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) has been playing pickleball for over three years. In that short time Mike has won multiple gold medals in doubles tournament play. Mike believes in teaching his students the right way to play with a heavy focus on strategy, shot selection, and positioning on the court all while having fun playing the fastest growing sport in America.
Mike originally came from a tennis background where he competed at the 5.0 level for the Oxnard Tennis Center’s USTA team. The highlight of his tennis career was playing doubles against the Bryan Brothers!
Mike is a lifelong resident of Ventura County and currently lives in Camarillo with his daughter Amanda. When Mike isn’t on the tennis courts you can usually find him on one of the many local hiking trails.

BLEDAR GASHI
Coach Bledar is an international student currently playing college tennis at Ventura College. He was born and raised in Belgium to Albanian parents and has been in the United States for 1 year now. He started playing tennis when he was 8 years old and immediately fell in love with the game. He started playing tournaments at a very young age and dreamt of becoming a professional tennis player.
When he was about 15 years old, Bledar started training daily and participated in tournaments all over Belgium. When he was 17 years old, he went up seven rankings in the Belgian ranking system in just one season – the only person who achieved that. At 19 years old, he finished the year with the number one ranking in the second highest category in the country. Right after this, he went to the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca, Spain to train and practice with the best players and coaches in Europe. About a year later, Bledar chose to play college tennis in the United States.
His next goal is to transfer to a 4-year-university and continue playing college tennis. He started teaching tennis when he was 16 years old and loved it from the beginning. Seeing his students get better over time was an amazing feeling. He has taught tennis to all ages in Belgium and I’m very passionate about continuing to teach tennis here in Oxnard!

PAUL OLMSTED
Coach Paul is the current head boys and girls coach at Oxnard High School for the past 4 years. He has been part of the Head/Penn advisory staff member for 10+ years. He was the former president for Ventura Tennis Club. Coach Paul played D1 tennis in college. He was the head teaching pro at Tennis in the Round in Phoenix, AZ. Lastly, Coach Paul was a former member of the Peter Burwash International tennis teaching organization.

MARK PICKERING
Born in England, Coach Mike immigrated to the USA in 1973 and has lived in Ventura for over 20 years. He played tennis growing up, but spent most of his youth swimming, running , and lifeguarding. More recently, he has enjoyed cycling and pickleball.
He has been playing pickleball for 3 years and loves the sport, which led him to become certified as a Level 2 Pickleball Teaching Professional.
He is excited to teach the sport and share it with the students at Agape Tennis Academy! He is sure you will soon be as addicted as he is!

KELLY MADA
Kelly Mada was born and raised in South Gate, Ca. She played softball, basketball and soccer competitively on a traveling team and was introduced to Pickleball in 2016 and haven’t stopped playing since. She has played in about 20 tournaments each year in both gender Doubles and Mixed Doubles.She works with professional pickleball players and coaches to improve her own game. She loves all sports whether she’s playing or watching them. She loves the outdoors and spending time with her family. Her goal is to share her pickleball passion with others and to help grow the sport within our community!

LUIS TOVAR
With more than 40 years of professional training and teaching experience in public sector organizations, Luis is now applying his skills in tennis. Luis is an avid recreational player that holds a 4.0 USTA rating, and is currently working on obtaining his Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certification.
Luis played collegiate baseball and believes that in many aspects, the values, knowledge and skills learned in baseball can be applied in tennis. He is committed to meeting each player where they are in skill level and helping them excel. Luis emphasizes that teamwork and fundamental skills development takes place in a dynamic and fun learning environment.
Luis enjoys playing tennis with his wife in Oxnard, where he has lived for the past 26 years. Luis is looking forward to working with you!
